Who were the Strandlopers?

The Strandlopers were the First Nations peoples that lived along the Southern African coastline and adjacent interior of Souther Africa. Foraging along our coastline for food and medicinal plants they knew and respected nature as their provider and they were the descendants of over 165000 years of ocean dependence, making our coastline the oldest known historical sight of peoples living off the ocean. Able to feed hundreds of Strandlopers, our coastline still hosts thousands of year old middens and stone tool factories, fish traps and ceremonial sites, evidence of their long standing relationship with nature. we retrace their steps as we visit these sites and travel back in time.
